trip to spain

The Department organizes two annual trips to France. The I Form trip to Paris takes place at the end of the Lent Term and pupils from IV Form, Shell and V Form are invited to participate in the French exchange with our partner school, Collège Marmoutier in Tours, which normally takes place during the Autumn half-term.

Language Fairs for Pringle and Chalmers West Houses allow pupils to participate in a range of fun language activities. These are held in-house or in conjunction with St George's School for Girls.

A Spanish trip for pupils from Shell upwards is organized every three years, and the German Department also runs regular trips to Germany, particularly to Cologne, which has recently become a direct flight away from Edinburgh.

In the Sixth Form, the Cercle Cinémane aims to introduce pupils to European Cinema through video showings in school and visits to the Filmhouse to view the most recent foreign film releases.
