A key feature of Merchiston is the unusually large number of widely-ranging extra-curricular activities on offer to boys of all ages. Some of these take place in weekday afternoons, others in evenings or at weekends. Whilst the best known of these is rugby, there are numerous other options on offer, both sporting and non-sporting.
