Overseas Expeditions
In 2006 the school, with the assistance of a third party provider, sent two groups to Peru to experience a high altitude trek and some of the cultural offerings, including Machu Pichu. During the previous year the school ran an independent expedition to the Zanskar Himalaya in India.
The 2008 and 2009 expeditions are going to be independently run and will follow all the protocols set out in British Standard 8848 as recommended by the expedition panel of the Young Explorers Trust. Expedition leaders will be qualified at International Mountain Leader level.
