The School produces one senior team that plays a number of fixtures throughout two terms, during activity time. It has toured abroad: pictured is the team in Milan, with their Italian host kilted!
As a growing sport at Merchiston, last season was out best opportunity yet to lift eh Scottish Independent Schools trophy, and it was a disappointment to have been edged out in the quarter finals in their only defeat of the season, against a much more experienced Glasgow High School team. The squad last year saw 9 players selected for regionla triasl, with 6 making the final squad. Last year's captain, Andrew, was also vice-captain of the SISFA Eastern District XI. |
