Merchistonian of the Year Award

The Headmaster, Andrew Hunter, is delighted to announce the inauguration of the “Merchistonian of the Year Award”.  This proposal has been endorsed by the President of the Merchistonian Club, Stephen Abram, and Past Presidents, Roger Baird, Willie Biggart and Barclay Low. There is only one other independent school in the United Kingdom to have a similar award, namely Millfield, Somerset, and we believe this is an excellent concept! 

The Award, consisting of a glass trophy, will be granted annually to a former pupil who distinguishes himself during the year – in business, charitable activity/voluntary service, or sport.  If there is a Merchistonian you would like to nominate please complete the form and return it to Carolyn Thornton.  Two weeks prior to this date a list of nominees will be posted on the School website before a final decision is made.
