On Saturday 6 June 2009 the Merchistonian Club welcomed 15 teams to their annual Touch Rugby Tournament. The Red Stallions won the Cup beating the Merchonians in the final and the Dollar All Stars won the Plate. The players were rewarded with burgers cooked by Gap Students George Abernethy and Philip Brown, supervised by Javier Palacios and also enjoyed cold beers provided by James Sutherland, Fifty Six North Phil and Charles Robson once again provided the marquee and James Doherty very kindly gave free sports massages pre-event, inter-event and post-event to any player with aching limbs. Well done to everyone who took part and a special thank you to Olly Abram, Andy Hadden and Danny Moussa who helped organise the event.
