Virtual Tour: Science Lab

The Science Department is housed in Gibson House, the original 18th Centrury 'Colinton House'. The labs have all been refurbished on a rolling programme, between 2000 and 2007, meaning there are now 2 Chemistry, 3 Physics and 3 Biology labs which have been fully refurbished.

Science is very popular at Merchiston, whether it is the large selection of animals attracting the younger boys, or the excellent teaching which inspires many of the older boys to follow a career in Science or Engineering.
