Basketball Cup update, 17 Nov

The Basketball team played Hillpark Secondary School, Glasgow, in the round of 32, of the Scottish Cup yesterday. After a very nervous start the boys settled down to score 16 points against their 5 in the first quarter, with Zachary slotting a 3 pointer. In the second quarter they worked extremely hard defensively, conceding only 4 points, and their offense moves were very slick, scoring another 21 points, finishing the first half 37 - 9. The third & fourth quarter continued in a similar way and the team finally ended the match 78-27. Sergey was the top points scorer with 31 points, with Zachary and David being the other leading points contributors. The team now awaits news of their draw for the last 16.
