Hansel and Gretel

Yesterday, 7th December, parents, boys and staff were treated to an excellent pantomime by the boys in J4, J5 and I Form. These, the youngest Merchiston boys, impressed all who watched Hansel and Gretel with their acting, singing and dancing. The entire cast were looking great, with their costumes and makeup meaning we believed that they were in fact animals...or girls in some cases!

The narrators spoke clearly, the 1st Form Orchestra kept the music together and there were some stunning performances including Marcus, the Woodman; Angus, the Evil Stepmother; Jamie as Hansel; Euan as Gretel and Matthew the Witch. Everyone enjoyed the show thoroughly, and we are looking forward to a rerun of one of the numbers at assembly on Tuesday.
