 The History and Politics Society was delighted to welcome back to Merchiston Rhodri Jeffreys-Jones, Professor of American History at the University of Edinburgh, to talk to historians in the Fifth and Sixth Forms about 'America and the Vietnam War.' As ever, Professor Jeffrey-Jones gave an insightful and illuminating talk, and his lecture focused not only on America's role in Vietnam, but also gave an overview of US foreign policy in the Twentieth Century. This proved particularly relevant to our AS candidates, who are studying this issue, and will stand them in excellent stead in terms of revision. We look forward to seeing Professor Jeffreys-Jones again in the near future.
