Ski trip to Montgenèvre, March 2007

March 25th 2007 found this years ski trip in the winter wonderland of Montgenèvre in the Southern French Alps. The group of 49 comprised a mixture of J4 - V Form boys and 8 staff. All pupils have some skiing ability so they can make the most of the terrain.

Montgenèvre has no shortage of fast cruisy runs and a scattering of more challenging reds and blacks. The skiing conditions were at their best and far beyond our expectations for so late in the season.

The off piste and gully skiing certainly presented challenges and a lot of fun for even the most capable skiers. For me, the highlight of the week was a whole group day trip on skis across the Italian boarder into the area known as the Milky Way for a restauraunt Lunch in a most superb setting.
