On Tuesday night (26 April) 110 boys from the first teams of 15 sports were represented at the annual 'Celebration of Sport' dinner alongside 18 staff. Mr Chris Caves spoke on 'Why we play sport', emphasising that there are two ways to win. The result is important, but the most important thing is performance, and if you have given everything, that is all that anyone can ask of you. After the dinner, Ryan Watson - who plays cricket for Scotland, is currently captain, and has just returned from the Cricket World Cup - gave us a fascinating insight into the World Cup. He also spoke to the boys about the importance of preparation in the playing of sport, in what was a witty and enjoyable speech. He is pictured here with Mr Swan after the dinner.
