The L6 AS Geographers spent some of last week at Loch Ranza on Arran. Three days were spent studying the fluvial dynamics of the River Chalmadale, exploring the raised beaches and fossil cliffs of the east coast of the island and analysing the glacial deposits in Glen Rosa. Excellent weather meant the wildlife was out in force - red deer, seals, a golden eagle and a sea otter were spotted. Evenings were spent analysing the data gathered during the day and swimming in both the sea and the river.
