One of our History staff, Robin Macpherson, has just won the inaugural John Durkin Memorial Prize run by the Catholic History Society - a national competition for secondary school teachers. He received his award from Dr Steve Boardman of Edinburgh University, who is Director of the Survey of Dedications to Saints in pre-re-Reformation Scotland. Robin got the prize at the National Museum at the launch of the Survey's on-line database at the start of September.
