This weekend was another busy one across the School, with social events for every year group, including a ceilidh, a disco, and a Sixth Form theme night on Friday evening.  Saturday saw many rugby fixtures and a Merchistonian reunion, as well as Pringle Activities at Bonaly.

We are lucky to be 5 minutes away from the Pentland hills, and this weekend boys from Pringle took advantage of that.  There was tree climbing and more traditional activities, as well as a new favourite: mountain boarding!  This skateboard-like contraption (photo left) is harder to use than it looks, but despite many falls, the boys soon mastered it and were getting more adventurous.  For others, there was the challenge of the catwalk: after climbing up a tree to a height of about 12 metres the boys had to walk along a log - pictured below are Kyle walking, and Lachlan about to drop back to ground - head first!  A lot of fun was had by all - except for Miss Cordiner who was terrified by the time she reached the top of the catwalk and managed only a few steps!
