Prior to the first performance of Oliver! on November 28 th , a small group of Friends of Merchiston met in the Old Library for drinks.
Many had not returned to the School since their sons or grandsons had left. One mother remarked how nice it was to still feel involved with the School, as it was such a big part of family life during her son’s years here.
The group duly took their seats for the show, and had a wonderful time. The show was described as “absolutely superb!” by one enthusiastic couple, and all were very impressed with the quality of the production.
