This Sunday's Outdoor Education Activity used the school swimming pool for a 'Learn to Roll a Kayak' session. The purpose of the activity was to provide some intensive 1:1 kayak skills coaching, focusing on the performance of an Eskimo Roll. Learning the stroke requires a high level of coordination and equal determination! A small group of boys from the Shell, instructed by Dr Wilkinson, took to the water and made excellent progress. Congratulations to Nick S (pictured) for several successful Rolls during his first session – the stroke is usually the nemesis of novice paddlers for several months
