Last week 6 boys from CE, CW and RE entered the Edinburgh round of the World Wise Quiz at Heriot's. Split into two teams the boys battled through the first round of quiz style questions on a wide range of topics such as 'Geography of France', 'Winds of the World' and 'UK motorways'. At the end of the first round, one of the Merchiston teams consisting of Fraser S, Duncan S and Matthew S qualified for the final against teams from Dalkeith High, Heriot's and Lasswade. Unfortunately, we finished third in a closely fought final and consequently did not qualify for the national finals. Congratulations to all the boys for a great effort.
