Dr Lawson: TV star

Last weekend (21 June) Dr Lawson travelled up to Assynt in the far NW to survey a cave where some bear bones are to be removed this weekend. 

Dr Lawson is an acknowledged expert on this area, and has published many articles concerning the region over the years.

On the way up the valley, his caving colleague Ivan Young and he were interviewed by Cameron McNeish as part of a BBC TV programme on Sutherland, hopefully to be aired at Christmas (one on the Cairngorms was shown last Boxing Day, and was well received).
