Chalmers West (13+)
In addition to his role as Director of Music at Merchiston for many years, Philip Rossiter has previously been Housemaster of Chalmers East for 7 years, and of Pringle (Third Form) for 2 years. Philip, who studied Music at Oxford, came to Merchiston after spending four years teaching at Bancroft's School in Essex. His interests include theatre, travel and reading. Tel/Fax: 0131 312 2250.
Chalmers East (14+)
Jason Cordingley took over the running of Chalmers East in September 2005. He had previously taught at the school since 1998, and since 2000 he has been Head of Art and Design. He is married with two young daughters. Tel/Fax:0131 312 2255.
 Rogerson East (15+)
Javier Palacios took charge of the House in January 2005, after teaching for over 20 years at St George's in Buenos Aires. He is married with two teenage sons. The whole family previously spent time on exchange at Merchiston from 2004 to 5. Javier has many sporting interests, and is involved with teaching and coaching sports, as well as assisting with Spanish teaching.
