At the end of this term, we say goodbye to GAP Teaching Assistants Patrick Crawley (from Claremont College, California) and Juan Pedro Badie (New Mexico State University), and Student Assistants Megan Laing (Wynberg Girls High School, Cape Town) and Michael Leaver (St Kevin’s School, Melbourne). They have made an excellent team and we wish them all the very best in their future careers. We like to believe that we look after our GAP graduates and students to the very best of our ability and we hope that their Merchiston journey is an unforgettable experience, and one to be looked back on with pleasure.

New arrivals to our community this term have been Harry Charman (son of Richard and Debs Charman), Rachel Pettigrew (daughter of Keith and Sara Pettigrew), Iona McLean (daughter of Sharon Twyford and Ewan McLean) and Rufus Heathcote (son of Rupert and Louise Heathcote). It has been interesting to observe young men being so fascinated by babies!
New members of staff this term are Ellie Tracey, Assistant in the Development and Alumni Office, and Kirsty Cook, Administration Assistant to the Master of Works. Philip Shaw is teaching Physics in Sharon Twyford’s absence on maternity leave.
