I am pleased to inform you that Michael Ridley has accepted the Board’s invitation to become a Governor. Michael has extremely broad experience in the field of education; he also knows Merchiston well as he was our Head of English before becoming Headmaster of Denstone College, and subsequently Headmaster of Royal Belfast Academical Institute, one of the famous Northern Ireland boys’ schools. I am sure that the Board will benefit greatly from Michael’s wisdom and experience.
