J4/5 at Dalguise Activity Centre

29th June, 2017

JuniorsSchool Trip

On Friday 23 June, 20 boys from J4 and J5 headed off to Dalguise PGL Activity Centre in Perthshire for a fun and adventure-filled long weekend. Everyone settled into their dorms quickly, eager to get started on the many activities and challenges on offer. Our group leader, Liam, helped to show us round the site and accompanied us to our first meal in the dining room. Sleep came quickly so the boys were ready to rise and shine for breakfast and then take a morning hike exploring the countryside. Other activities later in the weekend included a tree climb, giant swing, zip wire, Jacob’s Ladder, abseiling, and orienteering. Boys had the opportunity to challenge themselves and many surprised their peers with their bravery.
Support for each other was key, and this was a major factor in helping some to overcome their fears. We ate well, we slept well, and boys who will be in J4 and J5 next year are already looking forward to their next visit.
