Headmaster's Headlines

15 May 2012

In this week's Assembly, I reminded the School of the real importance of manners at Merchiston. No school is perfect, and neither should it be, for as boys grow up they do make mistakes from which they learn.

Week 4, as many of you will know, has been a little challenging with so much rain falling in Edinburgh and Scotland! However, this has given the boys and members of staff ample time to hold extra clinics and academic surgeries.

I also highlighted the Headmaster's Photography Competition which was started last year. It strikes me that the boys are extremely interested in photography, and I look forward to seeing the entries this year.

Secondly, I brought to the boys' attention a charity event for St Columba's Hospice called the "Great Pentlands Push" which will take place on Saturday 22 September 2012.
