Cecil Stagg Society meeting

staggGraeme Trousdale and Rhona Alcorn, senior lecturers at Edinburgh University, joined a handful of VI students in exploring variation and sociolinguistic theory. From cracking a puzzle for Indiana Jones to looking at phonetic renderings in Greek and Chinese, everyone was truly stretched over the course of the evening.

The school is now looking at entering the UK Linguistics Olympiad later this year.
