Masterchef graduates

The first group of Sixth Form to undertake a course in the new 'Masterchef' facility had their last session yesterday, marking quite a significant event in the history of Merchiston!

Through their six sessions of Masterchef, they have  learned to make cheesey pasta, chicken fajitas, chicken curry, pork stir fry, minute steak and soup. They also made cheese scones, flapjacks and choc-chip cookies and they have learned to cook potatoes in three different ways plus egg noodles and rice. 

The classroom is gradually taking shape: the cooker splashbacks were recently tiled, and some colourful posters for the room are now being sought.
