Top of the Bench

Following on from victories in 2003, 2004 and 2007, on Wednesday 11 November four Merchiston boys won the regional heats of a Chemistry competition called Top of the Bench.

The boys involved were a team of four, one from IV Form, two from Shell and one V Form.

This was the Edinburgh and South East Scotland regional heat, with 21 schools competing. 

Tthe boys answered individual questions appropriate to their age and also problems requiring teamwork. They now go through to the national (British) finals in either Loughborough or London in April.
