Marcel du Coudray is the Head Coach and Head of the Tennis Academy. Marcel was born in South Africa and previously ran his own tennis academy in Pretoria while coaching promising juniors at the South African National Training Centre. He has also coached top Polish professionals including Grzegorz Panfil, winner of the 2006 Junior Australian Open Doubles. Marcel has also worked part-time with top ATP player Nikolay Davydenko since 2006, helping him to one ATP title in Sopot, Poland, as well as a career high ranking of 3 on ATP world ranking. Since starting the Tennis Academy Scotland, Marcel has coached top UK juniors including James McKie, Morven McCulloch, Calum Macgeoch, Joanna Henderson, Alice Keddie and Anastasia Mikheeva.
Marcel is experienced and enthusiastic, with an international vision, and fully appreciates the need for individual attention and a close working relationship between the children, parents, coaches and school staff.
