Ideal venue for events of all kinds

Merchiston is a very popular choice for many organisations over the Easter and summer holidays. With a total of over 250 beds available, superb catering and sporting facilities, plus numerous spacious meeting rooms we can satisfy most groups' demands.

Our facilities include a Theatre (which seats up to 260 people), a dozen seminar rooms, the Robertson Hall (seats up to 60 people), the Memorial Hall (seats up to 400 people), the Old Library (seats up to 30 people) and various other areas which can be set up to suit your specific requirements. There are also the sports hall and swimming pool on site.

Accommodation comprises a selection of large dorms (10 beds), small dorms (4 beds) and single rooms. The newly opened Sixth Form Boarding House means we now have three star equivalent residential accommodation available for up to 150 guests in en-suite rooms.

All this and access to Edinburgh's airport and railway stations are only 15 minutes away! We really are a country setting within the city.
