    A series of rugby webinars recorded in the academic year 2020/21. Hosted by our Director of Rugby, Mr Roddy Deans, and Mr Bruce Aitchison, Housemaster and coach.

    Last year pupils scored 56 per cent A*/A grades at A-level, but, as one parent puts it, this is ‘Not an academic hothouse, but a school that helps boys discover their talents and achieve’. Extracurricular is at the core of learning here, and we’re not just talking about rugby…….."

    I think Merchiston has one of the best sporting cultures out of any school, whether you're in the 1sts or the 4ths, it's like playing for your country, and the respect is massive. The boys work hard for each other as much as for their own game improvements. Everyone is in it together, and there is a great atmosphere when all the teams go out to train.
