The Sixth Form have certainly had a busy and exciting first week and are now well and truly up and running in the House. Over the course of the last 8 days, they have enjoyed numerous activities together: a barbecue, baking, coffee and croissants for new pupils, Prefects’ drinks, VIA Club, quizzes, pizza making, hot chocolate and cookies, and more besides. It was fantastic to have all the boys in at the weekend and the atmosphere in the House was superb, if a little tense at times around the pool table, table tennis table and poker table! Boys have been enjoying time out on the sports pitch and we are all looking forward to the Laidlaw North v Laidlaw South football and touch rugby matches (obviously it is the taking part which counts … or is it?). In addition, the boys have been getting to grips with their new timetables and Upper Sixth are this week sitting assessments in their subjects in order to help gauge their current level. All in all, a busy time and lots more to come!
