We always have great respect for George Watsons College, so it is very pleasing to come away with some excellent victories and competitive performances across the board.

To win all three Senior games displays our depth and attitude towards our Rugby programme this season. Our students are working very hard on and off the field. The 1st XV played with real ambition and tempo in the first half which allowed us to score two well worked tries. We are even more pleased with our attitude and commitment in defence and to stop them scoring any points against us is a real bonus for us. The 3rd XV continue to rumble on and I just love their energy and commitment to play for the School.

The B1 team also displayed real character and fight to win a very tight game against a strong GWC outfit. The future is bright for this group of boys.

We love to see the D2 record an impressive win and again this is no coincidence as they have been working very hard in training all year. Well done boys!

Special mention must go to our F1 team who won 14 – 9.  I have loved watching this team evolve over the season and they really do play for each other and try to move the ball around. They have played an amazing 15 games this season, drawn 3 and only lost 2. For such a small group of students this shows real resilience and brotherhood. Thanks to Mr Gilmour for his excellent coaching and leadership.

We go into our Christmas break in great shape across the School and we cant wait for the challenges 2022 will bring us. Both our U18 & U16 have qualified to play in the Scottish Cup which kicks off in January which will always bring real excitement to the School.

Rest up boys and coaches, and have a lovely Christmas when it arrives
