To celebrate The European Day of Languages, a II Form Spanish class visited Edinburgh Zoo for the 'Science in the Language Class' event being run by Language Project Coordinator, Sandie Robb.
'Science in the Language Class' is an educational programme which provides resources that link language learning to RZSS (Royal Zoological Society of Scotland) conservation projects across the world, or to the conservation breeding programmes within RZSS sites.
The boys had a great day and learned about animals native to Spain and Latin America, as well as conservation work being carried out by the Zoo to help endangered animals. They learned about the importance of language learning in carrying out this type of work, as well as having a lot of fun!
