Life as a Day Boy

Being a day pupil at Merchiston is often described as having ‘everything but the bed’.

Your son will be in a house with all his peers and able to benefit fully from the boarding school environment: a longer day providing more opportunities outside the classroom; supervised homework giving him additional help when needed whilst building his work ethic; the social and cultural diversity that comes from being in a house with boys from all over the world; the highest levels of individual support.

Day fees include lunch, tea and snacks in the house so your son can make the most of the extended day. If you are a working parent, you can be confident that your son is well cared for with his friends when you have to work late.
