Chalmers West Lent Term Summary
9th April, 2018
The snow brought to us by the Beast from the East, gave the Chalmers West boys endless amounts of fun and an opportunity for some of them to experience their very first snowball contests! Igloos were made, toboggans were improvised and the drying room was full to bursting with soggy garments. We still managed to keep the boys who were ‘snowed in’ entertained, with a trek to Tesco and a visit to the Ryze Trampoline Park.
Fortunately, there was some respite from the wintry weather and we enjoyed a number of other trips and activities during this half of the Lent Term. We very much enjoyed the Arts and Cultural Programme trip to see Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
The term ended with the usual business for the boys, packing up their belongings with some of them preparing for the sevens’ Tour to Portugal and some of them the School Ski Trip. A huge thank you to the staff members that are taking time out of their holidays to run these excursions!
Added into the already busy final week, we had great fun at the St George’s Ceilidh and Disco, our end of term House Trip to Nando’s, the Middle Years’ Rugby Dinner and finally, the Whole School Choral Society Concert in the Memorial Hall.
