Once a pupil reaches the end of their Merchiston journey, the sense of community does not end. At Merchiston Castle School, we place great value on our lifelong school community and are proud to stay connected with our former pupils, celebrating their achievements wherever life takes them.
Graduating pupils, known as Merchistonians, are invited to join The Merchistonian Club, our alumni association, connecting former pupils long after their school years in Edinburgh.
The Merchistonian Club offers a vibrant programme of alumni events, networking opportunities and social gatherings, including regional dinners, reunions and sporting activities. Members also receive regular communications, sharing news, updates and stories from both the School and fellow Merchistonians around the world.
A Welcome from the President
The Merchistonian Club exists to bring together everyone who shares a connection with Merchiston, fostering a lifelong community built on friendship, support, and a shared sense of belonging.
Wherever life takes our members, the Club provides opportunities to reconnect with old friends, build new relationships, and remain part of the School’s story. It celebrates our shared heritage while embracing each new generation of Merchistonians, creating a network that extends well beyond the School gates.

The strength of the Club lies in its people. It is shaped by the experiences, ideas, and generosity of its members, and thrives on the connections they create with one another and with the School. Together, we help preserve the traditions that define Merchiston while supporting its continued success and future generations.
Above all, the Merchistonian Club is a welcoming and inclusive community. Whether you are reconnecting after many years, attending an event, mentoring fellow Merchistonians, or simply keeping in touch, there is a place for you within the Club. We look forward to welcoming you and hearing how we can continue to strengthen our community for years to come.
Ready Ay Ready.
