craig harrison Head of Physical Education
I have been Head of PE since 2012 and have loved providing boys with the opportunity to express themselves through sport and physical exercise. I have also enjoyed the special memories my GCSE and A level classes have given me. Guiding boys through challenging syllabuses has definitely provided them with lifelong skills which I’m sure they will utilise beyond school.
I was also an Assistant Housemaster for 6 years in Laidlaw South and enjoyed working closely with Matt Hillier and Chispa Prini Garcia (Housemasters). Working in the Sixth Form boarding house helped me build a rapport with boys outwith the classroom and games fields and I’m delighted that I chose this option when I started in 2010.
Pre-Merchiston, I was a PE teacher at Balerno Community High School where I was responsible for leading several extra-curricular activities and also delivering various SQA qualifications throughout the time I was there.
