Housemother Blog: Pringle
8th March, 2019
As ever, we have a very busy bunch of boys here in Pringle House!
This term, the boys have been working extremely hard so far, and not just academically. A selection of our boys have been studying for their scholarship exams, some have been preparing for The Merchiston Piping Contest, and many have been learning their lines and rehearsing in preparation for the Junior School Production of The Pirates Of The Curry Bean. I am amazed at the level of effort the boys have put into these events, and I am so proud of all of them.
We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the Whole School Cross Country. The Pringle Boys and our perfect prefects really did themselves proud, winning races and beating personal bests. The younger boys were in high spirits, and full voice cheering on their prefects and were delighted to see Charlie winning the senior boys race.
All this hard work certainly deserves some down time. The boys loved the formal Ceilidh Social with St George’s and enjoyed hosting a House Social, last Friday, with the girls from Kilgraston. The House Social was a lovely, relaxed event and a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and connections.
Busy boys clearly need a little bit of pampering. Pedicures have been the order of the day in Pringle, and the boys have absolutely loved this experience. Activities like this are not just fun but help to promote health and wellness and good self-care. These are skills in which the boys will build on, with our help, and take through school with them.
