Medical Centre

Nurse treating pupil's ankle

Don’t worry. He’s in very safe hands.

Our Medical Centre provides a safe and welcoming environment for your son’s medical and physical needs. We take a proactive role in day to day health care and in promoting mental health and wellbeing. We offer preventative vaccinations, like the Flu Vaccine, and can also can give the appropriate vaccinations for travelling abroad.

Staffed by three registered nurses, it is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8-1pm . The School doctors hold surgeries in the School Medical Centre twice a week. Our visiting physiotherapist comes in once a week.

The local GP practice is adjacent to the School, and appointments are always available outside of those clinic times.

If your son is unwell he will be assessed and cared for at the Medical Centre. If he is deemed well enough he can return to his House in the evening. If he requires overnight nursing and cannot go home to you or to a guardian, a nurse becomes resident overnight.

In the event of a serious illness or accident, your son will be accompanied to hospital and you and /or guardians informed immediately by the Medical Centre or House Parent.
