Director of Tennis
After retiring from the pro tour in 2007, David started coaching at Bisham Abbey for Win Tennis Academy. After spending over a year working with some of the top boys and girls in the UK, he decided to travel full time with an ITF player looking to help finish her junior career with a better ITF ranking and then move on to a university in America. He then decided to move away from the UK to work in Qatar to learn different ways of coaching. He was National Head Coach for the U16 and U14 teams and the teams won gold in the GCC event for the first time in over 10 years. David moved back to the UK after three enjoyable years in Qatar to work at Sutton Tennis Academy as Head of Men’s Tennis, helping the academy to grow in numbers and success.
Nathan is in his eighth year at Merchiston. During his time at the academy he has worked with the some of the best boys and girls, not only in Scotland, but also in the UK and Europe. Nathan has worked with ITF Tennis Europe ranked players and has travelled around Europe to international tournaments. Before arriving at Merchiston, Nathan worked at The La Manga Club in Spain at the pro-academy, and as a travelling coach for Tennis Europe. As a player Nathan played collegiate level tennis in the USA for four years gaining a degree in International Management as well as playing German club tennis during the summer. Nathan also gained a Master’s degree from Sunderland University in International Management. Nathan and his wife Colette reside at Merchiston with their daughter Olivia.
