Basketball is played in the activity programmes in the Juniors; however, in the Senior School the boys that are part of the Senior Sports Programme can choose to train and compete in the team.
The team trains three times a week, which is equivalent to the major sports. The sessions take place in the Sports Hall which contains a full size basketball court.
The team competes in a number of fixtures throughout the first two terms, with the Summer Term being used as a development period within the Summer Sports Programme. We play in a number of friendly fixtures against other schools and enter the Scottish Schools Cup, organised annually by Basketball Scotland. We also host the Abe Wood Blitz competition early in September.
