Hockey

Hockey is a developing sport at Merchiston and has been aided by the new artificial surface, opened in September 2016.

The Merchiston Hockey Club runs one evening per week in the Autumn and Lent Terms on the Astro. Your son can also choose to play hockey as part of his afternoon activity programme throughout the Autumn and Lent Terms. The sport continues to grow across the school, with all boys playing hockey as part of their PE classes in the Junior and Middle School. During the Lent Term, there are many 1st XI, U15, U14, U13, U11 and U9 fixtures against other schools around Edinburgh and further afield.
