Although Merchiston is not ideally situated for snow-covered slopes, a skiing option takes place each week at the nearby Hillend dry ski slope (the longest of its kind in Europe). In the winter, occasional trips are arranged to locations such as Aviemore, and an annual ski trip to a European destination takes place at Easter.

A group of 13 boys went to Passo Tonale, Italy, for our annual ski trip, and what fun was had!

LVI Form pupil, Magnus, competed in the British Telemark Skiing Championships last month and was invited to participate in the Telemark World Cup.
