Judith Fisher School Nurse
I qualified as a Nurse in 1986 followed by my Midwifery training in 1990. After having my own 3 children I returned to Nursing and started at Merchiston in 2006.
My first post was as Housemother in Chalmers West-a new role so somewhat a blank canvas to work with! This layer in the Boarding House was quickly seen as a worthwhile addition to the pastoral care of the boys and the following year I looked after Chalmers East too!
If the Medical Centre was busy I was able to put on my Nursing hat and lend a hand especially during Swine flu or an outbreak of Norovirus.
Then in 2010 a position became vacant in the Department and have been full time here ever since. What I enjoy the most is 2 days are never the same!
INTERESTS
When not at work I am walking our dogs, playing golf or pottering in the garden.
