WE Walk for Water
23rd May, 2018
On 1 May, Leah Baillie, from WE Schools, visited to run workshops for our Second Form pupils. They discussed, brainstormed and created action plans for global issues that they felt strongly about, including homelessness, clean water shortages, child labour, global hunger and global health.
She was very impressed with the boys and praised their conduct, interest, and level of involvement.
As a year group, they decided to run a fundraising and awareness campaign on clean water, using the Pringle Sponsored Walk as the vehicle for achieving this. With many people having to walk miles each day just to fetch water, the pupils felt this would be a good way to raise awareness. They have designed posters and videos to do this as well as to promote the event, and have even set up a fundraising page to collect sponsorship.
With it only costing £15 to provide a person with clean water for life, the pupils would really appreciate any support you can offer. More information on the WE Schools campaign for water can be found here.
